Achieving great things such as growing your business is never easy. The entrepreneurial roller coaster of ups and downs leaves room only for the most persistent, consistent and dedicated out there. However, the journey to success can be quite simple. And for me simple always beats complicated. This’s why I’d like to share with you this 3-step framework.
Over the last year, I’ve developed the below 3-Step Coaching Model that aligns with a simple framework of how to grow a business. I’m hoping that by sharing it with you, you can take it an apply it, and grow your business successfully.

DREAM
We all dream. It’s a natural gift that no one teaches us. Since birth, we’re curious and want to discover the world with this magical wonder in our eyes. And as we explore it, we start dreaming. We dream about places we want to go to, people we want to meet, a person we want to become, and the things we want to do.
As a result, when we become adults, we have the privilege to transform the dreams into our Vision: a vision for ourselves, our business, our relationships. Such a Vision becomes a basis for the next steps.
But before I go there, there are two other things in this step you need. The first one is your Mindset and the second Leadership. Without the right mindset and self-leadership, you’ll give up sooner than you think, or you’ll hinder your business growth, for example, it’s hard to become a people’s leader without the ability to lead yourself first.
At the same time, both: mindset and leadership aren’t static, once set-and-done things. They’re a journey of growth and self-improvement.
PLAN
Once you have the Vision, it’s time to Plan. If you’re scared of planning, don’t be. Planning is an exciting, creative process where you can put your dreams on a trajectory to become a reality.
As an illustration, let me give you this analogy first. There is nothing more exciting than planning a dream destination trip to Paris, Bali or Hawaii, right? Planning your business growth is no different at all and you’ll need the next three elements to do both.
The first one is your Goals. They become your destination especially when derived directly from your Vision. If the goals are your destination, then Strategy and Tactics become your roadmap to achieving them.
So, let’s go back to our exotic trip example. You pick Paris or Bali or Hawaii, then you create a strategy on how to finance it, who to go with, where you’re going to stay. Tactics are steps you’re going to take to implement your strategy such as booking plane tickets and accommodation, telling whoever is going with you about it, packing, getting to the airport, etc.
Based on this example, can you imagine now how planning would work for your business? Not to mention that for me, this is much more exciting than an exotic trip. Why? Because here we create our future. If our goals are aligned with our Vision, then through Planning you’re starting to fulfill your bigger purpose. You’re planning how to make a difference in your life and those you help. You’re planning how to make the world a better place one client at a time.
DO
Finally, we’ve arrived at the third step. What would your dreams and plans become if there was no doing following them? Doing is where the rest of the magic happens. It’s here where the creative process you’ve started in planning comes to complete fruition. And as you’ve probably guessed, this step also consists of 3 parts: Action, Habits, and Systems.
First, Action allows you to make your goals a reality with the help of strategies and tactics you’ve created. The right mindset and self-leadership are there to motivate you, push you and help you learn and improve as you go.
You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.

Moreover, intentional, good Habits and Systems make everything easier altogether. Why? Because the collections of your habits create systems in your day-to-day business operations. When right, they offer you the ease of doing, create a compounded power of progress, and ultimately add to your competitive advantage.
WHAT NOW?
You’re probably thinking OK, great Maggie but what now. All you’ve described above is simple, logical, common sense et all but it’s a LOT and just thinking about the whole framework overwhelms me. I’d say deep breathe and take it step-by-step.
If you want to do it yourself, look at the Vision for your business first. Do you have one? Does it align with YOU? If not, click here to download a free CLARITY & FOCUS training that can help you fix it.
Then think about your mindset and self-leadership. Are you ready to do do what it takes to go after your dreams? If you’re scared, procrastinating or overwhelmed, then start reading books or listening to podcasts that will help you grow in that area.
Next, start Planning. What are your goals, and do they align with your Vision? Do you have a strategy and tactics on how to achieve them? Wherever your answer is a “no”, start there.
Lastly, I’m sure you’re already taking action in your business. Here then, assess if what you’re doing now aligns with step two. Do you use your tactics daily? Do they align with your strategies and bring you closer to achieving your goals? Assess your systems and habits. Do they make it easier to act and complete day to day tasks? Maybe it’s time to slowly develop better ones?
