The level of our success is limited only by our imagination and no act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.

I love the Holiday Season. Not only because of childhood memories and tradition of family gatherings but also because we all slow down during this time. We become much more thoughtful, compassionate, and kind to each other. Kindness makes the world a better place. And it happens through small acts of it done many times by many people.
There are many ways how small acts of kindness can also change your business for better. In the spirit of Holidays, I’d like to share 5 of them with you below.
1. You’ll build more trust
Doing the right thing, being kind, builds lasting trust for you and your business. I’m sure you’ve heard that for the customers to buy from you, they need to know, trust, and like you. Trust is a prerequisite for the like. And with kindness, the clients will grow the trust for you and your business along with your partners, collaborators, and employees.
That’s why being respectful to all people you meet, striking up a conversation with a clerk in a grocery store, or showing your appreciation through kind words to a supplier or employee goes a long way.
2. Kindness reinforces brand loyalty
Once your clients trust you, you need to maintain that trust, and small acts of kindness do it every time. You deposit chips to their bank of trust by a simple phone call from time to time with no special occasion to say “hi” and taking an interest in their lives. Another way is to send people significant to your business a thank you card or a small present. With all that, you create a substance behind your brand and deliver the promise it has. Once you achieve this, loyal customers will follow.
3. It promotes high-quality service
Being kind helps to do things right, not just fast. Serving clients from the mindset of goodwill and care will naturally enhance and raise the quality of your service. Whether you’re dealing with a complaint or a regular business event, doing the right thing with care will beat any other strategy. And if you cannot help a potential client with a problem they have, referring to them to a fellow business owner who specializes in it, extends such kindness in many other ways.
4. It fuels learning and innovation
Being kind not only to others but to yourself helps you keep going. There’re many roadblocks we inadvertently face in our businesses. So instead of beating yourself up for mistakes, being kind with yourself and learning from them will help you develop a growth mindset. With such a mindset, you will want to keep going, keep trying, and keep improving in your business. And with improvement comes innovation, which creates a market advantage and successful results.
5. Kindness improves performance
Do you volunteer? Or support a charity? I’m sure you do. Now think about how you feel after doing such things. I know that I feel much happier and eager to go out to the world and do even more good deeds. Acts of kindness energize us, put us in an excellent state of mind helping us to create better results in business and also personal lives. Do you agree?
Final thoughts
Imagine now that your present spirit of kindness continues past the Holidays, that it spreads everywhere, and stays there every day. Even if the pace of life peeks up again or if we go through harder times, the spirit remains.
What effect do you think it would have? I know that kind actions, no matter how small, repeated over and over, day after day, will compound to create a substantial positive impact in your business and beyond. And if you need someone to guide you through it, help you achieve your full potential and grow your business with no overwhelm, we should talk :). Click here to schedule a free consult with me.
